Victoria's path to a career in nutritional therapy began via personal experience of ill health: prior to her nutrition training, Victoria suffered poor immunity and recurrent infections for several years. However, since addressing her personal nutrition she has experienced first-hand the power of positive lifestyle change, and her mission now is to help others experience the health benefits that optimum nutrition can provide.
Victoria’s Approach
Victoria’s nutritional practice is based upon the principles of Functional Medicine.
- It seeks to identify the fundamental physiological imbalances that lie at the root of so many common ailments, and address them with nutritional support, thereby allowing balance to be restored to the body. To find out more about Functional Medicine, click here
- Victoria uses laboratory testing to identify biochemical imbalances with the greatest accuracy possible, allowing her to provide targeted and effective nutritional support. A comprehensive range of laboratory profiles is available, including nutritional status, metabolic function, digestive function, allergy and intolerance, hormonal health and toxicity/detoxification. For more information about laboratory testing, please contact Victoria.
- Victoria’s approach is firmly evidence-based. Nutritional recommendations are based on sound nutritional science and reliable research.
Safety First
Client safety is of paramount importance. Victoria liaises with clients’ GPs and other health professionals (with clients’ consent) to ensure that her nutritional programmes safely complement medical or other complementary health treatments. All nutritional supplements suggested are checked for possible interactions with any other medications or supplements that clients may be taking.
Victoria’s method of practice is strictly governed by the rules and ethics of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (www.bant.org.uk). Victoria is also registered with the government-sponsored regulatory body for complementary therapists, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Commission (www.cnhc.org.uk). Victoria holds a current First Aid certificate.
